AN open day is to be held at the Naas Lane Community Centre to show current and potential new users the facilities on offer.

The open day, from 11am to 3pm on October 29, is being organised by the Naas Lane Community Centre Management Committee together with Lydney Sea Cadets and will be launched by town mayor, Bill Osborne.

The committee and cadets began leasing the centre from Gloucestershire County Council at the end of last month and are preparing a business plan aimed at guaranteeing the centre's long term future.
