I WRITE in reply to the letter in last week's Review headed 'Time warp'.

The truth sometimes hurts.

Whilst your contributor mentions a few negative points about Lydney there are no mentions of positives.

Her remarks do an awful injustice to the tradespeople and their staff from whom I have always had a cheerful, first class service.

Like lots of towns, Lydney has been affected by the retail revolution over the past 20 years. But the town still has a lot to offer.

I would respectfully suggest that in the year 2015/16 your contributor's own town will have a new casino where there will be lots of bright lights. Maybe it would be best if she stops at home!
