CALDICOT photographer Tracey Clements has beaten over 120 other entries to win a national award at a recent Master Photographers Association (MPA) event and will now be entered into the Photography Show annual awards later this month.

Ms Clements, who works from Wye Valley Studios, won the ‘cherubs’ category with a portrait of three-year-old Arne Lyons, also from Caldicot.

Nick House of Wye Valley Studios said: “It means a lot to us that Tracey has won this award. All photographs are judged be professional photographers and it keeps us on our toes and shows we’re doing something right.

“Ray Lowe, president of ‘cherubs’ and chair of MPA, told us he loved the image and that it had gorgeous lighting, pose and expression.”

The photograph will be on show at the Photography Show in Birmingham at the NEC from March 18 to 21.
