THERE is much to see and do to tempt you into Lydbrook between December 11 and 19 with shopping, carol services and the Tranquillo duo performing.
Once again the Church of the Holy Jesus in Lydbrook will be holding its annual Christmas Tree Festival where you will also be able to do some Christmas shopping on the festive stalls where you will find gifts, pottery jewellery, toys and more.
The Festival is open from this Saturday (December 11) from 11.00am to 4.00pm and this Sunday (December 12) from 1pm to 4pm and between Monday to Friday from 11am to 2pm and Sunday the 19th from 2:00-4:00. But this is not all...
Next Monday (December 13) there will be a community carol service featuring Lydbrook Silver Band where you can join in with the carols and enjoy the atmosphere in the church decorated by many Christmas Trees to get you in the mood for Christmas. This takes place at 7.15pm.
And on Friday (December 17) local duo Tranquillo will be performing their debut album 'Tranquillo Christmas' by candlelight. The flute and piano duo are currently on tour performing in venues such as Lacock Abbey, Brecon Cathedral, Wales Millenium Centre and St Davids Hall and have been receiving great reviews along the way. Take the opportunity to hear the album live in a fantastic setting in a church well known for its beautiful acoustics. This event starts at 7.30pm.
