CAN anyone shed any light (sic) on the bizarre item that has appeared outside the Co-operative?

It seems to have some fencing round it, perhaps in a bid to stop the aliens from getting away!

If it is, as has been suggested, a Christmas 'tree' perhaps someone would do the decent thing and take it up to the tip early and put us all out of our misery.

After that we need Lydney to have a Christmas tree it can be proud of, there must be plenty of good looking trees out there somewhere.
