A 21-YEAR-OLD Coleford man has been bailed after a woman died in an accident at Mile End.
The 22-year-old woman, named locally as Lucy Vaughan, died after being airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol following the crash in Wood Road on Sunday morning (April 17).
She was a passenger in a Nissan Primera which Gloucestershire Police say "failed to stop for police" before the crash after 1am.
A short time later officers found the car, which had collided with a telegraph pole, on the road.
The driver, a 21-year-old Coleford man, was uninjured and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed until June 15 pending further enquiries.
It’s reported the victim leaves behind a four-year-old daughter.
