A COLEFORD man was killed as he tended his vehicle on the side of a road near Evesham in Worcestershire early yesterday morning. (Tuesday, June 25).

Police have named the man as 56-year-old Graham Edmunds, who worked at Forest of Dean Caravans in Parkend. A 23-year-old woman was taken into police custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The incident happened at around 6.45am on the A46 Cheltenham Road near the village of Beckford after Mr Edmunds pulled up in the lorry he was driving.Mr Edmunds died at the scene of the crash and officers are appealing for witnesses.Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 83s of June 25.
