A BETTER experience for customers is promised following the opening of new reception facilities at the Forest of Dean District Council offices.
The makeover to the reception area brings everything in one place. Previously, there were three reception areas split between three different locations in two separate buildings.
What's called an 'information zone' has also been created with self-service computer terminals giving customers access to the council's new website. And all council staff are being moved to the main Coleford building to save on heating and lighting bills.
Councillor Peter Amos, leader of the council said: "I am delighted that these much needed works are complete on time and under budget. The improved facilities will result in a better and more efficient experience for our customers and allow us to save taxpayers' money by reducing the number of buildings we occupy."
