A MOTHER-OF-THREE is trekking the Canadian Rockies for Marie Curie.

Danni Gane, of Coleford, hopes to raise as much money as possible for the cause, after they helped her father at the end of his fight with cancer three years ago.

Between now and June, the 33-year-old is hosting three fundraisers.

She said: “The cost of my trip is covered elsewhere but I’m aiming to raise as much as possible for the charity and I have three events going on including a quiz night.

“I’ve done the normal 5km runs for Cancer Research and, two years ago, I cycled 62 miles around London through the night but I’ve done nothing like this at all.

“Fortunately Apex Outdoor at Berry Hill have kitted me out and I shall wear one of the shirts provided at the top of the Rockies.

“The trip involves trekking roughly 10k to 15k per day over seven days to reach the highest point of 2,600 metres.”
