NOW that the county council has decided to close Dean Hall School, I wonder if they have given any thought to the plight of those pupils who will suffer the bullying they will have to put up with when they enter into mainstream schools.
Not only will they suffer the taunts and insults in the school yards, these kids will have to go through the same hell outside, when other pupils find out where the come from. I know of one such case where this has happened. The pupil was too scared to go to the shops.
I hope these people who voted for the closure can live with their consciences. They know these children will not receive the kind of special training they need. They will be shoved to the back of class forgotten about.
When Tony Blair came into office in 1997 what was one of his rallying cries?
Education, education, education. Well that goes for everyone, not just the bright ones. – Dave Bowkett, Cinderford.
