DAPHNE Woodward has turned amateur sleuth in a bid to find the rightful owner of a parcel.

The mystery started about four weeks ago when a parcel addressed to Findlay Beard, 3 Ruspidge Road, Cinderford GL14 3BA dropped through her door.

Miss Woodward thinks Findlay is a young boy and judging by the handwritten address the parcel could contain a gift from a grandparent.

She said: "I'm desperate to find Findlay and give him his parcel and I won't stop looking until I do.

"I've phoned every Beard in the book and I've been in touch with all the local schools but I haven't been able to track him down."

Miss Woodward has a hunch the parcel may have come from Scotland or Ireland and it has a handwritten letter on the front.

The parcel started its roundabout trip to the Forest on October 19.
