FROM turning over a decent vegetable patch, turning off taps and composting, Ellwood Primary School pupils have thrown their weight behind recycling and have joined the Eco Schools movement.
Together the pupils have formed an Eco Club which stresses the importance of everything 'green' from switching off lights and taps to healthy food, composting, recycling – including computer ink catridges – and growing the school's own vegetables and flowers.
On Green Day itself, pupils enjoyed smoothies at the juice bar, went on a bug hunt and made Eco School Christmas presents.
For more about the Eco Club get in touch with Mrs Menarini or Miss Bundy at the school.
