This bird's eye view of the centre of Lydney is undated but clearly shows the former Lydney and Chepstow Builders' merchants yard, now Travis Perkins. A railway siding appears to run into the yard. A feature instantly recognisable by older Lydney folk will be the Chums Hut – the Forest Road headquarters of the Lydney Scout Troop in the days of well known leader Norman Addis.
