Young Forest rowers Jess Boon from Parkend and Megan Jephcote from Coleford started off the rowing season with a win in a double for Gloucester rowing club at the annual Head of the River Race. The girls won by a clear five seconds in the women's J-13 race over 2,500 metres after beating off a strong challenge from two crews from Upper Thames rowing club Henley. After the event the girls were photographed with Team GB Olympic rowing champion Beth Rodford.
