A DRESSING-down day has helped staff at Two Rivers Housing to donate £150 to the Forest of Dean Children's Opportunity Centre.

Staff members also held a Christmas raffle and a secret auction.

Every month a different charity is chosen for staff members to support and since 2008, more than £2,000 has been raised for charities.

In November, £115 was raised for Gloucestershire Nightstop through a dress down day and a collection from Two Rivers' voluntary Board members at Christmas.

Organiser Hannah Farrugia said: "We raise money all year to go to charities that have been nominated by members of staff. This charity does such great work in our community and I'm pleased we could make a donation not only to them but also to the others throughout 2011."

Marilyn Smith from the Opportunity Centre said: "It is thanks to organisations like Two Rivers that we are able to sustain and develop our services to families and children through the Forest of Dean. We were thrilled when we heard that the staff had thought of us and really appreciate their kindness and generosity."
