THE driver of this car had a lucky escape after it rolled over and smashed into a barrier on the M50 in an early-morning crash.

Fire crews from Ross-on-Wye rushed to the scene of the accident on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 3 for Newent and Junction 4 at 4.37am on Monday (May 13).

The front of the vehicle was completely stoved in, but the driver, who was travelling alone, amazingly hadn’t sustained any injuries and didn’t require further treatment after being checked over by paramedics.

One lane of the motorway was closed while the carriageway was cleared of debris and the car was recovered.
