TWENTY-NINE year old Nathan Morris from Monmouth has been convicted of drug dealing, after his vehicle was found to contain class-A drugs.
DC Steven Benton, of Gwent Police, said: “On October 20 officers became aware of a vehicle and its occupants travelling to Newport from Monmouth on an almost daily basis to purchase controlled class-A drugs.
“These drugs were then supplied and sold to heroin users in the Monmouth area.
“Officers located and stopped the vehicle on the A449 travelling back in the direction of the town.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants discovered class-A drugs.”
Appearing at Newport Crown Court on November 14, 29-year-old Nathan Morris received a three year custodial sentence after entering a guilty plea earlier that month.
DC Benton added: “The sentence handed down to Morris by the courts shows that those found to be supplying class-A drugs within Gwent will be arrested and dealt with robustly by the criminal justice system.”
