COLEFORD funeral directors Ernest Heal & Son have been named 'Regional Funeral Planner of the Year'.
The accolade was awarded by Golden Charter, Britain's leading funeral plan provider: 'for its dedication and commitment in providing an outstanding service to their local community'.
Michael Corish, Commercial Director at Golden Charter, presented the award to Neil Williams, Managing Director of Ernest Heal & Sons. As well as the silver salver and framed certificate to mark the award, the company have also had an area of woodland in Wentwood, Llanfair Discoed, near Newport, named in their honour in reognition of the achievement.
The company beat off 2,800 other funeral businesses to win the regional prize.
Speaking after the presentation, Neil Williams commented: "I am absolutely delighted to receive this award. The award recognises all the hard work, dedication and professionalism of all my colleagues."
