EARLYBIRDS playgroup, which is preparing to move to new premises this year, held a Christmas fair and raised more than £200.

Organisers commented: “Earlybirds playgroup would like to say a massive thankyou to all who came and supported them at their Christmas Fair.

“We had stalls of local handmade gifts, tombola, cake stall and charity tables from Team Numpty and Winged Wonders. It was hard work to put together for staff and committee members but seeing the children visiting Father Christmas and receiving a gift is very much worth the effort.

“We would also like to thank people for their kind donations towards the raffle prizes, Cinderford Rugby Club, Wyedance, Beverley Colquhoun, Jessabel Flowers, St Whites Shop, parents, and to St Whites School for lending us the venue.

“With the exciting move to new premises next year we will have a busy time and the need for our committee and parents support is imperative for us to keep up our standards.

“On the day we managed to raise £204 to go towards any new equipment or works that may need to be carried out at our new home.

“We have also received a very welcome donation from Coventry Building Society for which we are very grateful.”
