CROOKED End Farm's brand new farm shop and cafe will be opening next Wednesday (October 5) with a grand opening event a month later on November 5.

Laura Todd, the farm shop manager, says: "Swing by for apple pressing, scarecrow making and children's art workshops. You can also check out the progress of our new community garden, tour the farm, meet the animals and enjoy a hearty, wholesome, hot meal in our Crooked End café."

The farm, which has been supplying veg boxes for some years now, has never really had the room to host a proper shop until now. Trading will begin in next week with seasonal specials such as chard, beetroot and squashes on offer along with organically reared meats, local and organic dairy produce and other groceries.

Educational trips are also a possible for local schools or community groups. The shop and cafe will be closed on Mondays but open the rest of the week. To find out more please call (01594) 544482 or check out the website www. crookedend.co.uk
