THERE was plenty to see at Soudley fete for animal lovers – as well as lots of other things to do and enjoy.
The Gloucestershire Police dog section were in attendance, while the agile rescue ferrets from Fluffy Ferret Rescue enjoyed a run out, and the birds of prey from Black Mountain Falconry spread their wings.
The fete was organised by the committee of Soudley Village, which has only been in post since last autumn.
Village hall spokeswoman Kay Holder said: “The fete went very well and we’ve had a lot of good feedback about it.
“The village hall committee has only been together since last October so it has been a steep learning curve for us.
“The previous committee has been very helpful to us.
“The police dogs and the ferrets were very popular and there were lots of other attractions to keep people entertained,” she added.
They included a display by Soudley School, dancing by members of Cinderford-based CANDI and tug o’war.
