BUOYED by their double success at The Birmingham Conservatoire and at The Yvonne Walkerdine Music Bursary Concert, the Forest Flute Choir has launched a new website and embraced Twitter.

The new site forestflutechoir.co.uk is now up and running. The website was created by Clearweb of Coleford and is run by volunteers from the choir itself. It details the choir's activities and and how to book the choir for fundraising events. The choir, which numbers 30 aged from eight to retirees, can also be followed on Facebook and Twitter.

To add to what looks like being a lively year, the choir will be five years old on April 9 and is hosting a birthday party for all supporters and players, both past and present and their friends and families.

The celebration ­– a very classical chips, sandwiches and skittle evening – will be at The Miner's in Whitecroft on Saturday April 9 drinks. To book get in touch with Fiona Crawley on 01594 563079.
