ENGLAND coach Eddie Jones will bring his considerable skills to the Forest this weekend to help out at a charity game.
The annual fixture between an invitation XV put together by Bream-based international referee Wayne Barnes and a Forest side has helped raise nearly £60,000 for Breast Cancer Now in memory of Wayne’s late mother-in-law, Debbie Broderick.
The Grand Slam-winning coach will help out Team Barnes which includes ex-Gloucester prop Nick Wood, England skills coach Rory Teague, ex-Bath and England prop Duncan Bell, Harlequins and England Saxons scrum-half Karl Dixon, ex-Worcester and England scrum half Shaun Perry and even Wayne will have a run-out.
Ex-international and Rugby World Cup referees Chris White and Tony Spreadbury will be officiating the game which kicks off at Lydney RFC at 2pm on Sunday.
The day also features junior girls’ and boys’ rugby from 11am, live music and a raffle with prizes including two tickets for the Aviva Premiership final and signed rugby shirts.
