THE Forest Tapestry, first brought to readers' attentions in the Review of August 17, has found a new permanent home at the Main Place community centre in Coleford.

Custodians Eileen Avery, Joanna Jones, Edna Lanigan and other members of the original crafting group agreed last month to pass the tapestry on to the Coleford Area Partnership.

"Following the agreement of the Main Place users, it is intended that the Tapestry be placed into a glass-fronted frame and given a permanent and prominent display on the wall immediately outside the Main Hall," says a Partnership chairman Chris Howell.

"The next task is to carry out research to ascertain the names of the crafters themselves.
