I would like to compliment all shops in Coleford town centre for their support and help within the last few weeks. We never realise how many of the shops are willing to help out in difficult times, but when called upon they are there.

Milkwall Football Club holds a memorial football match each year marking the tragic death of well-liked Liam Teague who played for the youth and senior side at Milkwall. Also we had had a reunion match the week after which was contested by the Milkwall under 15s and past Milkwall players.

I took it upon myself to see if the town shops could help out with draw prizes and to my satisfaction every shop donated a prize from meat vouchers and meal deals to flowers etc – a total of 25 different prizes.

I would like to thank all the shops for their very generous help.
