DROP-IN sessions are taking place across Monmouthshire from October 17 to 23 to support residents to get online.
A spokesperson for Monmouthshire County Council said: “Residents are welcome to pop in with their tablets or smart phones and learn how to download e-books and e-zines, or how to send emails and write CVs.
“Smart phones and tablets are becoming the norm for finding out information, paying bills and communicating with friends and family. The free sessions aim to encourage more residents to access the internet and to provide residents with the skills to become confident and IT-savvy when using these devices.”
Taking place in community hubs, the sessions run in Chepstow on Wednesday 19 from 9.30am to 12 noon and in Monmouth from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. On Thursday 20, from 10am to 12noon a session will run at Caldicot Hub and an IT tutor will be at Chepstow before going to Caldicot, from 2pm to 4pm the same day.
