A SPARKLY ice cream van with a DJ and careers tips from professionals were among the highlights of a creativity festival at a Forest school.

The festival at Wyedean School in Sedbury showcased a wide range of talents from crafts to dance and music.

There were also art exhibitions, live music, drama, a

mini movie theatre, circus and graffiti workshops

It also featured the ice cream van and a DJ from the Yeo Valley dairy.

A ‘careers meet’ also gave students the opportunity

to chat with entrepreneurs from music, set design, photography, TV, web design, interior design, ceramics and graphic design.

Proceeds from the evening went to improving art and performance facilities and to the mental health charity Young Minds.

Organiser Jane Collins said: “We want Wyedean School to become a centre of excellence for the arts not just for our students but for the whole community.”
