A NEW crazy golf attraction was officially opened by Lord Bledisloe and his daughters in a wood where his grandfather kept aeroplanes.

Krazy Golf at Taurus Crafts is a new business by Roger and Georgina Sparkes and features 15 holes inspired by tourist attractions in the Forest and Wye Valley, set in an acre of woodland.

The ribbon was cut by Lord Bledisloe and his daughters Iona and Agnes on the site which previously was home to a model village.

He said: "My grandfather had a couple of aeroplanes and this wood was his hangar so this wood has always had good connotations.

"I had high hopes for the model village but that wasn't to be but this time I feel we have something really special. It will be a real asset to the Forest."
