KEVIN Toogood, The Royal Forest of Dean College's Site Supervisor, has become the subject of a hero-worship Facebook campaign by students.

Hairdressing student Jonathan Palmer has set up a page on the social network website for fellow students to register praise for Kevin's work at the college.

Jonathan said: "Kevin, is in fact, awesome. Scary, but awesome. We love you Kev. Never will we smoke outside the green lines. Peace!"

Kevin's main role at the college is to keep all the student and staff safe on site. This includes monitoring behaviour and driving and managing the college minibuses, although Kevin does a lot more besides.

Student Liam Sargeant says on Facebook: "Kevin Toogood puts the laughter in Manslaughter, Kevin Toogood can pull a wheelie on a unicycle. To be or not to be, that is the question – the answer is Kevin Toogood."

A college spokesman who says she asked Kevin for his reaction said his reply was: "I am amused by all the attention, but I just do my job."

The Facebook page already has 300-plus followers.

RFDC Principal Janak Patel said: "Kevin is a real asset to the college and has a real presence and rapport with all the students."
