SUPERHEROES and princesses will take a moonlight walk through Coleford in aid of the Great Oaks Forest Hospice.
Last year’s event was so popular that organisers were asked to make it an annual fixture in the hospice’s fund-raising calendar.
This year’s walk has a superheroes and princesses theme and takes place on Friday, June 7.
Great Oaks Charity fundraiser Debbie Hutchinson said: “Last year 150 walkers took part including dogs and it was an absolutely brilliant evening so we have been asked to make it an annual event.
“This year’s theme is superheroes and princesses, although fancy dress is purely optional.
“We do have it on good authority that there will be some rather well dressed dogs too.”
The five-mile walk starts with registration at the hospice at The Gorse from 9.30pm followed by a warm-up with Shelley Gwilliam from Everybody Fitness. Walkers set off at 10pm and will head down into Coleford, over to Broadwell, Mile End, Five Acres and then back to the hospice where goody bags will be waiting.
Anyone can take part and registration is open until Monday, June 3. Entry is £10 and proceeds go to the hospice to give care and support to patients and families. Forms are available from the hospice or can be downloaded from the website www.great-oaks.org.uk
