WE have been trying to get salt bins in our area (Cinderford) refilled since before Christmas.
The County Council Highways depot say in the press to ring 0800 514514 to get bins refilled. Does it happen? No!You get told you are on the list.
Despite ringing daily since December 21, we are still awaiting refill.
From what I see, none have been refilled over the xmas period; the side roads get no gritting and remain icy and dangerous. But we need to use these roads to get to main roads.
I appreciate it has been a holiday period but unfortunately the snow and ice does not come Monday to Friday, 9-5,.and the only ones working appear to be gritter drivers and lots of office staff. – Disgruntled council tax payer.
