RESIDENTS of a Cinderford housing development were in at the start of work on a £2.3 million extension.
Hanover Court is an "extra care" estate where elderly people are supported to live independent lives.
A new wing is being developed by Hanover in association with the Homes and Communities Agency and will add 20 self-contained apartments to the 26 existing properties.
Hanover Court's oldest residents, 101-year-old Daisy Franks and 100-year-old Emma Medlow and neighbours joined staff and construction workers from Pollards at the start of work to lay the foundations.
