A WOMAN walking in Cinderford on Monday had her handbag snatched in broad daylight.

The incident happened about halfway along Victoria Street at around 2.50pm, police reported.

The 67-year-old victim walked past a man shortly before she felt a tug. Her black leather handbag was pulled away. The attacker ran off towards College Road.

The thief is described as white, in his 20s, 5ft 3ins tall, of slim build and with dark, collar length scruffy hair. He was also wearing dark clothes.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information to call 101, quoting incident 206 of January 21.
