CHEPSTOW town councillors have hit back over their handling of Jubilee decorations and issued a challenge to their critics.

The town council received several letters complaining about the lack of bunting for the celebrations with one calling for councillors to apologise for the lack of decorations in the main streets.

But town councillors pointed out that, as volunteers, they helped organise two events – the lighting of a beacon at Chepstow rugby club and the Diamond Discs hit parade music celebration at the Drill Hall.
