A HEADTEACHER has called for calm after an alleged ‘physical altercation’ in the town centre involving pupils outside school time was reportedly filmed and posted online.

Headteacher of Forest High School in Cinderford, John Whitehead, said: “The Forest High School is aware that an incident occurred over the weekend outside of schooling hours in which some of our students were allegedly involved in a physical altercation.

“The school utterly condemns this alleged behaviour and will be working with the police to acquire an accurate account of events and ensure that there are appropriate consequences for the perpetrators.

“We will also be working with social services and other agencies to ensure that the victim receives the support they need.

”We would greatly appreciate all members of the community remaining calm and allow the police to conclude their enquiries.”

The videos allegedly showed an attack by two boys on a third boy.

Police were reportedly called when somebody sent the footage to the boy’s mother.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said they were looking into the matter.
