WHILE I was driving up Highfield Hill, Lydney I overtook a stationary car and in my path was a young hedgehog slowly crossing and unsure where it was going. There were men working nearby so it may have been disturbed.
I briefly remained stationary as I didn't want to run it over and luckily nothing went into the rear of me. I was hoping nobody would run it over before I could get out to help but luck was on our side.
A man parked roughly where I had been, got out wearing gloves and picked it up from underneath so it could roll into a ball.
The gentleman then took it to the other side and put it safely over a wall so well done on your act of kindness. It made my day.
