A CALL is going out for help to turn a Forest music festival into a "fun day out for all the family and for the whole community."

Last year's two day Cinderford Music Festival charged £10 for entry, there were problems with security and allegedly some bad feeling that money raised went to an overseas charity.

This year, organiser Barry Woodley, or 'Baz' from the Herbs as he's better known, says the festival will be free and he's calling on local people and charities to step up to the plate and help make the day; "A fun event for the whole community."

"We want this to be a family orientated event and all about the community," says Baz. "And we'd love to hear from people who could help out or bring in stalls like coconut shies for the kids."

The date for this year's festival is May 15 and it will be on the pitch at Cinderford Town Football Club with an acoustic stage inside. Local acts already lined up include The Antipodes and Derry Brownson of the former chart topping Cinderford based indie dance band, EMF.
