MY wife and I see on a daily basis the appalling situation of the refugees from the Middle East.
The vast majority of these are genuinely running from the appalling conditions in their own country.
It breaks our heart being unable to actually do something – all we hear are politicians in this country and the rest of Europe trying to make some sort of political capital out of this misery.
The countries the migrants are travelling through need help now, not next week.
What about the United Nations?
All we have heard from it was some hysterical women shouting about Europe ignoring some convention.
This is not a European problem. While the UN or is it the League of Nations (an earlier attempt that failed) tries its best at ostrich impersonations these people will continue to suffer.
Neither do we hear a peep from the richest Arab countries.
Europe, with its mountains of food and resources, along with the Arab nations could have put a stop to the war in Syria years ago.
