•Lydney boxing star Chris Higgs (right) extended his unbeaten run as a professional fighter to an impressive half dozen victories with a points decision over Daniel Thorpe at Swindon on Saturday. The referee scored the fight 60 - 55 in Higgs's favour after makring round one a draw. Higgs, who dropped Thorpe at the end of round three, was described as boxing with great control.
