POLICE will be dispensing anti-crime advice at a roadshow in Lydney this Saturday (December 7) following a spate of burglaries in the Forest.
Householders who were away on holiday came home to find their home had been burgled in Lark Rise, Coleford, between Tuesday, November 12, and Sunday, November 24.
Two watches and keys were stolen in the break-in after patio doors were smashed open.
An intruder was also disturbed trying to break through patio doors at a second house in Elm Court, Woolaston, around 8pm on Monday, November 25.
The offender made his escape running onto Birchwood Road and heading towards Woolaston Common Road.
Police have also released CCTV stills relating to an incident on Saturday evening, October 26, when an intruder gained entry to a property in Highview Way, Bream, and stole an elderly man’s wallet while he was at home.
The CCTV pictures which can be seen on the Forest Police Twitter feed are grainy, but show the suspect and a five-door silver hatchback.
Anyone who witnessed any of the incidents or has any information about them should call 101 – quoting crime 38380/19 for the Coleford burglary, 38459/19 for the Woolaston burglary, and 482 of 26/10 for the Bream break-in.

West Mercia Police is also appealing for witnesses following a theft in Ross-on-Wye on Monday afternoon (December 2).
A woman posed as a charity worker who was collecting for the deaf when she stole £100 off an 86-year-old resident.
