RESIDENTS on Naas Lane in Lydney looked on in horror on Saturday morning as four fire crews battled to control a house fire.

Some 19 fire fighters from Lydney and Coleford used one jet of water to control the fire which ripped through the house just before 11am causing at least 50 per cent damage.

It is understood that nobody was inside at the time of the fire nor was anybody injured. Police are not treating the fire as suspicious.
