I HOPE this will be read by the idiot who drove through St Briavels towards Coleford in a Honda Civic on Friday, August 8. I want to thank him for highlighting the idiocy of some drivers.

His erratic overtaking, some into blind bends, and through the centre of St Briavels jeopardised the lives of other motorists and pedestrians, but why?

Seven cars in front was a large lorry. I was in a Freelander he almost clipped just in case he remembers any of the vehicles he forced into the verge. He was not going to get anywhere any quicker but his actions could have caused a serious accident.

With the tourist season in full swing, he was heading towards the Clearwell Caves turn-off.

He could easily have come across someone unfamiliar with the area who was perhaps following a sat-nav. He wouldn't have seen them because he was driving like a prat.
