IF you are seing spots when in the vicinity of Speech House this Sunday (June 19) there's no cause to worry – hundreds of Dalmatian spotty dogs are set to gether there!

The breed are traditional 'carriage dogs' bred to accompany riders, and the fun ride in the Forest is one of many gatherings of dogs and riders throughout the country.

'The 1001 Ride' will celebrate the fact that the total mileage covered by competing Dalmatians at the British Carriage Dog Society's Carriage Dog Trials topped 1,000 miles last year.

For a small donation, riders will receive a unique rosette and the ride will also raise much needed funds for British Dalmatian Welfare – a charity dedicated to rescuing and re-homing needy and abandoned Dalmatians.

All will meet at Speech House Hotel Field to start at 10am, riding to 2pm.
