I WRITE after reading the letter from Charlotte Davies, of Broadwell, in October 5 edition.

I am not a resident of St Briavels, but I have great sympathy for those who live in the village. Of course she's having a laugh, it's not outside her back door!

From what I understand, it was going to be a mini turbine, not a 77m high one and supposedly hardly visible from the village. Probably this lady does not know the full facts!

I note the lady says amongst other things in her letter, we are "heading the way of leaving our children and grandchildren a planet greatly diminished in" ..... among other things mentioned "beauty."

Yes, our landscape will be diminished in beauty if these turbines grow to blot out beautiful Forest landscape. Maybe it's she who needs to get out of her bubble! =
