PINK is Jan Norris’s colour, as this picture shows.
So when she had her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, it seemed the obvious colour choice to add.
Jan, who is water bailiff for Yorkley Angling Club, is already planning next year’s escapade to raise more money for the charity.
She and colleagues from Yorkley Angling Club handed over a cheque for the £520 she raised on Saturday (October 6).
But she is already plotting her next challenge which will involve walking between seven lakes in the Forest.
Jan, who is the club’s water bailiff, said: “I grew my hair for 12 months before it was cut.
“Pink is my colour so I had it dyed pink.
“I’d like to thank everyone who supported me and the fantastic charity.”
The sponsored walk will take place before the 2019 season opens in March and will include Cannop, Three Islands, Lydney, Lightmoor and Steam Mills.
Jan said: “We haven’t worked out exactly how far it is but I reckon that if I start at 6am then I should be finished by about 6pm.
“There are so many people with cancer in this area that I wanted to support Macmillan and the work they do.
“I hope to raise £1,000 next time.”
