DISCOUNT store Real Deal will be opening its new store on Friday – in the former Beales Department Store.

The Cinderford store applied for a lease to expand its business back in September and is preparing for its official opening this Friday (November 15).

Since their move into the former Woolworths store three years ago a growth in demand has seen them outgrow their current premises.

Manager Gemma Hackett said she is very excited about the expansion. She said: "We have already moved in and are in the process of fitting and stocking the shelves. We will be keeping both shops open and looking to introduce soft furnishings and branded electricals which unfortunately we haven't had the space to stock in our current premises. All we are looking to achieve is satisfying what our customers want which is mid-range items at reasonable prices."

A spokesperson for The Midcounties Co-operative said: "The site is being leased to discount store Real Deal which will be expanding from its premises next door. We are pleased to be able to offer an established local business the opportunity to widen its offering to shoppers and we are expecting them to be in before Christmas."
