SPANIEL Assist Rescue and Rehoming (SARR) volunteer Eve Ford, went above and beyond the call of duty on Saturday, January 28, when she dressed as a spaniel and walked around Coleford for four hours to raise money for the non-profit organisation.
Eve told the Review: “I am a fundraiser, home checker and fosterer for SARR. I became SARRA Snuffle as a sponsored adventure and photographs were taken as proof that I completed the task.
“So far we have raised about £113 with more to come. We are very pleased with this amount as I was only out and about for four hours and we all know that it is hard this time of year.
“As a fundraiser I have parachuted and abseiled and this time I morphed into SARRA Snuffles. The fundraising team also run online auctions, raffles and bonus balls.
“We have astronomical vet bills each month with neutering, vaccinations, food and transport. One of our rescue dogs had major heart surgery last year, which cost thousands of pounds but that little girl is now healthy and adopted.
“Our founder Dawn Clough and all the team work hard to make sure these rescue dogs are warm, safe and healthy from the minute they come into our protection.”
