A FOREST beautician is hoping to win a national beauty title later this year.

Jess Caldwell, of Lydney, has already been named Miss Glamorous Gloucestershire.

She will be up against some 30 others hoping to win the Miss Glamorous UK pageant in Cardiff in November.

Jess, who works in a salon in Cinderford, is using her time as Miss Glamorous Gloucestershire to raise the profile of All Creatures Great and Small, an animal sanctuary in south Wales.

She said: “I enjoy competing in pageants, you get the chance to wear some lovely clothes.”
