LEARNING came to life for pupils of Drybrook School with their annual dance festival.
Now in its ninth year, the festival is inspired by the topics the children have been learning this term.
Over the last six weeks they have been putting together dances and music which were showcased at Drybrook Memorial Hall.
The dances were inspired by a wide range of topics from Old McDonald’s Farm and fairytales to space and volcanoes.
Each class from reception to Year Six put on high energy performances.
Bridget Handley, who organises the festival, said: “It has been going for nine years now and everyone really enjoys it.
“Each class has developed their dance based on what they have been working on this term.
“The first time we did it some of the Year Six boys were a bit self-conscious and didn’t take part but now everybody throws themselves into it.
“It’s very creative and allows them to think about what they have been learning in a different way.”
