CAT lovers had the chance to meet potential new pets when an adoption roadshow came to Chepstow.
The Cats Protection League's Gwent branch brought 10 animals looking for new homes to an adoption day at St Arvans village hall on Sunday.
Among them was Reggie who was left in a flat with brother Ronnie when their owners moved.
Glynis Davies, Gwent co-ordinator for the League, said they were pleased with the response with a lot of interest in re-homing animals which ranged from a few months to 14-years-old.
She said around 200 animals came into the Gwent branch's care each year.
"We hold adoption days around the area about every four to five weeks and we are planning to hold two a year in Chepstow."
She said there were many reasons why cats came to the League including people getting too old to look after their pets or moving to smaller houses.
The adoption day was also supported by St Arvans "cat hotel" Wyes Cats.
Michelle Hatcher of Wyes Cats said: "As cat lovers we're delighted to support the work of the Cats Protection League in finding loving homes for cats that need them."
